Rebuilding Broward Together

As a City Ambassador you have the option to grow your skills as a volunteer in a variety of ways. Rebuilding Together Broward has created this volunteer training program to encourage members of the Broward community to get involved and give back and educate on the power of volunteerism. The goal of the City Ambassador program is to offer volunteers the opportunity to take ownership of their experience and to represent their city in raising awareness about the important work that Rebuilding Together Broward does. This program is perfect for those volunteers who want to get involved but don’t know what to do or where to start. Training is provided.

• Some of the ways a City ambassador can incorporate their city and neighborhoodto fuel the mission of Rebuilding Together are:
• Asking neighborhood businesses to:
  • Sponsor an event or program
  • Have a coin collection tin near checkout counter
  • Encourage employees to raise money
  • Allow marketing collateral material to be left at the counter or inthe window
  • Offer a gift certificate for service or merchandise
• Attending local networking events (Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce,etc) and talk about Rebuilding Together and its mission
• Encourage friends, family, colleagues and associates to get involved in the Adopt A Community Campaign
• Help form or chair an Adopt A Community committee
• Recruit skilled volunteers for year round and special event programming
• Distribute Rebuilding Together email communication to your personal network of community contacts
• Secure speaking engagements for Rebuilding Together Broward
• Write articles or column highlighting the work RTB does in the community and have it published in local publications
