- Founded in 1988, the national office for Rebuilding Together, Inc. is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and is the largest volunteer based home rehabilitation organization in America, with more than 250 Rebuilding Together, Inc. affiliates serving over 955 cities and towns in all 50 states.
- Rebuilding Together has completed more than 100,000 homes across the nation, with the help of over 2.5 million volunteers and has delivered over $1 billion in market value since its founding. It is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization supported by voluntary contributions of time and money with funds coming from generous individuals, corporations, labor organizations, foundations, civic organizations, churches, and synagogues.
- All affiliates organize a Rebuilding Together Day, typically held on the last Saturday in April, and many affiliates provide year-round services in addition to the Annual Rebuilding Day.
- Special programs stemming from Rebuilding Together include several veteran housing programs including "Project Homefront”, assisting homeowners who have a family member deployed in Iraqi Freedom, “Heroes at Home”, a partnership with Sears Holding, and “Serving Those Who Serve”.
- Programs re-establish safe and sanitary living conditions, improve home security, reduce falls and injuries at home, protect homeowner investment, retain affordable housing, prevents criminal activity, and supports neighborhood development by providing year-round support of neighborhood rehabilitation projects, minor home repairs, home safety projects and non-profit entity revitalization.
- All home repairs are free for homeowners.
- Rebuilding Together Broward County incorporated in Florida in July 2003 and became an affiliate in September 2003.
- Locally, low-income homeowners have been assisted in unincorporated Broward County, Wilton Manors, Pompano Beach, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines and Miramar with a focus on providing assistance to elderly, disabled and families with children.
